ReplyDeleteSome of these I haven't seen and will catch up. Well, at least one on Valentines day.
Bob
I'm sure you and your wife will enjoy one of these, Bob.
DeleteI would add LadyHawke to the list. An oldie, but a good one. And Robin Hood! I happen to like the Costner version as well as the Russell version. Another goodie is Shining Through with Michael Douglas and Melanie Griffith.
ReplyDeleteLoved Shining Through.
DeleteOh, very good adds, Marsha. I will add Ladyhawke and Robin Hood (the Russell Crowe version which I loved0. Haven't seen Shining Through but love Liam Neeson so will have to do that.
DeleteGosh, I love all of these. What a great idea to post movies (especially since I am a movie nut). I just adore both the Sabrinas and of course Casablanca. May I recommend one for you? Have you seen Somewhere in Time with Jane Seymour and Christopher Reeve? Wow, a really good one! Have a great Valentine's Day, Regan and thanks for the movie ideas.
ReplyDeleteYes, I have seen Somewhere in Time and should have included it!
DeleteMiss Pettigrew Lives for a Day is one of my all time favorites.
ReplyDeleteI love that movie, Phoebe! I've seen it a zillion times and when I post my favorite love songs in a few days, you'll see If I Didn't Care on it!
DeleteGreat list, Regan! I love Ladyhawke! Think I'll pull that from my archives. It's time to see it again. Happy Valentine's Day!!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean, Sylvia. Sometimes I just dust off all my keepers and watch them again.
DeleteStellar list! You included two of my top faves - "The Quiet Man" (we recite lines from that movie quite often ;0) and "Kate and Leopold". I will certainly check out some of the titles here I haven't seen yet. Have you ever heard of an indie titled "Chunhyang"? It's a Korean film, very gorgeous, and their love is inspiring ... just wondering. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteNo, Barbara, I've not heard of that one. I assume it has subtitles?
DeleteOh, yes, sorry I didn't add that the first time. Maybe you can rent it from Amazon or Netflix or something. I see on YouTube that there are a lot of knock-offs as, apparently, this legend is the Korean 'Romeo and Juliet,' but the one I have is from 2000 with Seung-woo Cho ... if that's any help. Take care.
DeleteThanks, Barbara!
DeleteI loved North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell, starring Daniella Denby-Ashe and Richard Armitage. I prefer Jennifer Ehle & Colin Firth in Pride & Prejudice. While You Were Sleeping with Sandra Bullock. The Scarlett Pimpernel with Anthony Andrews and Jane Seymour.
