One of my all time Favorite Authors: Penelope Williamson

This week's "series" features one of my all time favorite romance authors: Penelope Williamson. She wrote historical novels in the late 80s to late 90s. Several won RITA awards (the highest award the Romance Writers of America gives). She weaves wonderfully rich stories of true love that conquers great difficulties...love that endures. While I enjoyed her earlier works and gave them 4 to 4 and 1/2 stars, from 1991 on, every historical novel she wrote is 5 star material. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this author. But get out the Kleenex as she can tear at your heart!

  • Beloved Rogue (May 1988)
  • Hearts Beguiled (June 1989)
  • Wings of Desire (August 1989, under the name Elizabeth Lambert)
  • A Wild Yearning (1991) - Winner of RITA Award
  • Keeper of the Dream (April 1992) - Winner of RITA Award
  • Once in a Blue Moon (May 1993)
  • Heart of the West (April 1995)
  • The Outsider (July 1996)
  • The Passions of Emma (September 1997) - Nominated for RITA Award

  1. Stumbled upon your blog when looking for reviews on Penelope Williamson's first book, Beloved Rogue. Enjoyed the simplicity of your site . . . and your obvious love of reading Historical Romances. Since do not like to read reviews about books that have not yet read, did not spend a lot of time reading . . . but put your site address on my "Favorites" pull-down list . . . to make return visits.
