The Georgian era covers the period from 1714 to 1830, with the sub-period of the Regency, 1811-1820, when George, Prince of Wales (‘the Prince Regent”) reigned during the mental illness of his father George III, so all these stories are set in that era.

I often differentiate between regency novels that I call "chick lit in costume" and novels which seem true to the period. In both categories you will find popular, amusing, and well written stories, though I definitely prefer the latter.
ReplyDeleteVictoria, I write Regencies set against real historical events and with real historical figures. You might try the first in my Agents of the Crown series, Racing with the Wind. It was also my first novel.
